Poppo's Taqueria

I am visiting St Pete for a real estate conference and needed a place to eat. One of the locals pointed me towards Poppos. It was an excellent choice. The environment was clean and casual. The British guy behind the counter was very nice. There was an outdoor order window for those with their pets. The ingredients tasted Uber fresh and flavorful. I had a salad bowl. I also ordered a side of chips. I think they were were made from tortillas and freshly cooked to order with the refreshing salsa. I would definitely recommend this place. You won’t leave disappointed. Thanks everyone!

I LOVE Poppo’s!! I had Poppo’s in Sarasota’s about 4-5 years ago and fell in love with it then. I was thrilled when I saw one here in the Burg. They’ve been here a while now so I’m late with my review, but the food and service was just as good as I remember! The tacos are so fresh! I love that they have kombucha. Small place. Really good!

I think the location is great, the one in St. Petersburg I visit has fantastic employees and staff, that are always friendly and happy. I eat the food at least twice a week as some casual dining. I recommend any of the combinations that you can dream of because they’ve made it almost impossible to find one that doesn’t taste good! Hats off to one of the best taco places on Central Avenue!
