Beavertails

We had a poor service experience on a recent visit to Bannerman Park/Beavertails. The employees were swearing, telling stories of drinking and vomiting, not paying attention to making our order so the topping was only on half (not evenly placed across the Beavertail), and when I initially went up to the counter, one worker had her foot up on it tying her shoe. I had to ask for my order to be completed properly (topping), at which point the employees all went silent, staring at me, as if I had some nerve to want my $9 pastry completely covered. A call to the local head office was unsatisfactory as the woman downplayed our negative experience, saying that while personal conversations are not "part of their policy," conversations like this "are bound to happen with students aged 14-18 working there." We are visiting from out of province, and this experience does not reflect favourably on this location.
