First time visiting this joint. Food was fresh and tasty. Very lively atmosphere and staff were friendly. This ended up being a 4-star review only because I found service was slow even for a Friday evening. It made me feel if we were seated on the main floor we would have gotten more attention due to visibility. It seemed like there was only one server for upstairs and multiple downstairs. I also felt pricing is a bit steep but quality is definitely there so no stars deducted but anyone thinking of going should be aware.

Excellent, efficient service from our server Tyler. We had the $15 lunch special of 9" pizza and salad. It was under an hour from my arrival to leaving with a belly full of delicious wood-fired pizza and beet walnut salad. Would return. Recommend reservations online as they can be quite busy during lunch time.

This pizza place has a nice outdoor patio. We ordered the Stephanie, Funghi e Gorgonzola and Piero pizzas. The pizzas are made fresh in a wood oven and this adds a smoke flavour to the food. However, the crust was too chewy for me which was quite disappointing. The service was quick but the waitress forgot to bring us the extra sauce that we requested!

The food here was fantastic, the service was even better. We were a party of three and ate outside. We all had the lunch special which consisted of a 9" pizza of your choice and soup or salad for $17, great price. We ordered 2 Caprese salads and a Cesar salad. All were fresh and tasty. The pizzas ordered were Siciliana, Capricciosa + Ananas, and the Margerita. The pizza was absolutely perfect and delicious. Crust was thin and crisp with just the right amount of toppings. One of our party is actually from Italy, and it's the best pizza she has had outside Italy yet. Our server was Emma G., who was very attentive 💯% ,eventhough the restaurant was busy, and took care of any requests we had promptly. The lady who was seating customers, while also cleaning tables, was absolutely awesome and definitely made our day by getting us a seat outside. If you are reading this and haven't been to Piatto yet, what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed! Highly recommend 👌 👍.

Piatto Pizzeria is an absolute delight. They have mastered the simplicity and beauty of a great pizza. The most simple pizza is as delicious as their creative pizza’s, which impress the paler with perfectly balanced flavours. I wouldn’t hesitate to try any item on their menu. We ordered the Arancini to start, and for our pizza’s to share we chose “The Stephanie” and “The Amanti della Carne”. “The arancini” was so good. Just like Nonna’s. It was like living a beautiful memory in a dish. “The Stephanie” is really special. I’ve travelled the world since the first time I had this pizza and never found anything like it anywhere. I was thrilled to be back in St. John’s to order this again. The balance of sweet, salty and savoury is perfection. “The Amanti della Carne” is a lovely pizza with just enough kick for those who like a little spice. The only things that could take this experience up a notch would be the details. Offering water to your guests when they are seated, plates on the side for the pizza for sharing or simply eating off the giant one, and portion considerations for the antipasti, knowing people share and creating the portions with that in mind. I can’t wait to be in town again soon to Come back!

Amazing food and great service! You're going to pay an arm and a leg for it though but I would recommend it to anyone who has a reason to celebrate! My server had great recommendations and I enjoyed all of them. The only thing I would ding them on is maybe the beer. I wasn't a fan of it. A little weak. Everything else was great though. Highly recommend!

It was really nice - good menu selections and helpful/polite staff. I reserved a star because it is a chain. Update - okay, I'll give it 5 stars, because it originated in St. John's (and the food is really good.) It does have a "slick" chain feel, though, and it has every sign of chain/franchise aspirations. That's not a bad thing: more people will get to enjoy it, the owners will get the rewards they deserve, and it might even boost the NL economy! But, loud/popular/slick is not my personal top choice in dining experience.
