Eating at this place was my first fish and chips experience in a while, and I gotta say, they delivered.<br/><br/>I ordered he trio pack to share between two people, which turned out to be too much, but included flakes, potato cakes, dim sims and chips.<br/><br/>The chips were not my favourite as they were not as crispy as other locations I’ve had in the past, and we were not offered an option to have chicken salt instead of regular basic as salt. Nonetheless, they were okay.<br/><br/>The potato cakes, were a huge step up, with a light, crisp exterior which did not feel too oily at all and a smooth potatoey goodness inside, although the main highlight of it was the beautiful crunch factor.<br/><br/>The dim sims were just dim sims :)<br/><br/>Now, onto the star of the meal, the flake. A monstrosity of great magnitude, saltiness, crunch and oiliness, (and I mean this is a good way) everything you would want from a great flake. Every bite was heavily seasoned and made an audible crunch sound. The fish within the batter was a tad bit dry to be honest, but with the use of a sauce, combined with the oiliness, it did not matter much. <br/><br/>I enjoyed this place, and would eat here again, although would not make the mistake of ordering a meal for three, to share for two.

This fish n chips place has been around for many many years through different owners and it seems the original owners are back Bill.<br/><br/>Back in the 90s when it was run by Bill and Marie i was just a small kid i used to hop down to this store and grabbed myself a few potato cakes. It has since then gone through a ppl and i decided to drop back down here bc i had heard that Bill was back. <br/><br/>The potato cakes are delicious. Crunchy, not too much batter. <br/><br/>I look forward to trying out their other food on the menu.

We ordered takeaway order of a minimum chips, piece of fish (flake), potato cakes and a battered sausage.<br/><br/>Cassidy – I really liked their chips, they were perfectly crunchy, same with the potato cakes. I wasn’t crazy about the fish though, and I wouldn’t get it again. Service was good, wait time was a bit shorter than normal.<br/><br/>Sneakers – the chips were really crunchy which I like, and the potato cakes were quite nice. I found everything was lacking salt and tasted like it was almost time to change the oil - the chips tasted a little bit funny. <br/><br/>Cleanliness of the restaurant - 7/10<br/><br/>Cleanliness of plates/cutlery/glasses – n/a<br/><br/>Cleanliness of the menus – n/a<br/><br/>Service - 8/10<br/><br/>Wait time for food - short<br/><br/>Food overall – 7/10<br/><br/>Ambience – n/a<br/><br/>Value for money – 7.5/10

Beautiful food!! The chips were cooked to perfection and the meat was juicy. Vasilios was a nice bloke with a cheeky smile but he was very genuine and I will go there again no doubt. Best fish 'n' chips in springvale/mulgrave. The gyrios also was full of kick because the next day I was up and running like a 2 year old on candy.<br/><br/>Thanks, <br/>Staff and Kaladzoglu family
