Snowflake Donuts

My wife told me about a certain type of caramel doughnut. She used to eat as a little girl in Costa Rica so I thought I would take a chance and call Robin Snowflake Donuts just to see if this was possible to replicate I was told by the owner, she didn’t have any caramel only maple. Even though it wasn’t even an ingredient she carried, she would absolutely make this happen for me. Not only did she make one perfect special caramel covered cream stuffed eclair for my sweetheart she made three different variations just to ensure it was perfect and just like the one she ate as a child. You can’t imagine the surprise or the tears that were in my wife’s eyes when I surprised her this morning with her special treat. All I can say is thank you Mrs. Robin for making this happen, you and your staff are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.

Growing up, I have been to many a donut shop, but never such as this... This donut shop is locally owned by a family that puts their hearts and souls into their craft, which can clearly be seen in their food. Their donuts are soft, sweet, and chewy. Their breakfast sandwiches are crunchy, crispy, decadent, and savory. I have been going here every Friday or so for the past half a year. Best donuts you can find on this side of Houston, Texas, if not the best donuts in this side of Harris County as a matter of fact. The owners are very kind and friendly and treat you almost like family to loyal customers. My personal favorite things to order are the croissant sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese, a jalapeño and cheese kolache, and either some maple bacon gourmet donuts or a simple fried cake donut. Best donut place I've ever been to, and me being a loyal customer is proof of it.

We ordered letter donuts and a big number donut for my son’s birthday. They were all tasty, and everyone thought they were really fun. My favorite was the big number donut—I had never seen such a large donut! We cut that into pieces kind of like a cake. We’ve also tried some of the more exotic flavors in the cafe, and they were quite yummy. For how unique the options are, I think the prices are pretty reasonable.

Ever since moving to Spring, I kept hearing about Robin's Snowflake Donuts (especially the breakfast egg rolls). I finally decided to visit yesterday! I was heading that way within an hour of closing, so I called to make sure they still had some. The young girl who answered the phone was kind and helpful, and she offered to let me place an order. I ordered the egg rolls over the phone and picked out a few donuts when I got there. The young guy who got the donuts and rang me up was also super kind and helpful! The glazed donuts had just been made, and I could taste the freshness! All the donuts we tried were delicious and fresh, and we can't wait to try more kinds! AND.....THE EGG ROLLS! Oh. My. Goodness. We tried some of all 3 types (breakfast, boudain, and brisket). They definitely lived up to all the hype. I'm not even sure if I can choose a favorite because they were all so good! Will definitely be back and 1000% recommend!
