Corkscrew Bbq

Food is always great. I recommend the Bob's Bert sandwich and the loaded potatoe with chopped Brisket. Even the Mac-Cheese is awesome. Brisket is always cooked to perfect. We always buy a pint of BBQ sauce to take home for other meals! Any BBQ plate is good and I'm pretty good at reviewing BBQ! I can't find another BBQ place that's better, maybe San Antonio or Austin, or a place near Lubbock. I'll review those later. The only two, maybe, three negatives are very limited parking. Followed by the train is slo LOUD, dining outside and loud inside, limited space. Prices are high, but I get it. Friendly environment and staff is awesome! I give it 4.5 *

Everything we had was delicious. The brisket was so tender it cut like soft butter. The pulled pork might have been my favorite. We also had the coleslaw, baked beans, and Mac and cheese which were all great. The prices are a lot more reasonable than a lot other bbq places I’ve been too which was nice. We went around 11:15 on a Friday, waited about 20 minutes in line. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Classic BBQ joint. Long line, but you wont be there too long. They get you through the line and by the time you find a good seat they’re already calling you up for your order. The food was delicious. The beans are the true star of the show. I highly recommend beans for a side. Amazing flavor. We had the brisket and the turkey. They sell out pretty quickly, so the earlier you get there the better. Definitely worth a stop they have some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor/covered seating. Parking is a little limited, but we didn’t have a problem people are in and out in a jiffy.

I just moved to Texas two months ago and I have been in love with barbecue since I moved here from Maryland. A number of people I have met have given me food suggestions so I’ve been trying out one new bbq place a week. Today I tried Corkscrew after at least 5 different recommendations and it was so good. I order a 1/2 of moist brisket, beans and cobbler. My friend had to go back to work and didn’t want her leftovers so I took hers home. I ate most of my brisket and all of my apple cobbler. I had leftover meat and beans but I would have gone crazy at the thought of leaving without ordering more cobbler. I placed two orders of cobbler to go and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been to a few different bbq places since moving to Houston and this has been my absolute favorite so far. I bought one of each sticker. I may get a t-shirt next time. Wonderful service, friendly and helpful staff. I will most certainly be returning. Me and my friends had a wonderful lunch.

Hands down, the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten in my life. My meal at Corkscrew was the perfect BBQ experience. The meat was phenomenal, the sides were excellent, and the apple cobbler was divine. The atmosphere was great, and the service was impeccable. Absolutely the best brisket I’ve ever had – perfect texture, moist, flavorful, and had a great bark. So good, it didn’t even need sauce (though the sauce was great too). The brisket was so much better than the brisket I tried at Truth BBQ. In my experience, it doesn’t get better than this. If you’re in the Houston area, you cannot miss this place.

Was in Houston overnight due to a flight cancellation. This place was worth the layover. Luckily I was there in a Thursday so line up was not too bad. Brisket was amazing moist soft melt in your mouth smoked goodness. Staff was fantastic as well. I’m considering flying to Houston just for this brisket!!

Best brisket I’ve ever had. Boy was it worth the 1+ hour waiting in line! So tender and you get to choose moist (fatty), lean, or mixed. i think it depends on availability but the guy on the register was very cool and I got what exactly what I wanted even though we were nearing the end of the line. We got there around 11.00 and got our food on our table around 12.30 (they were sold out by around 1.30pm) It was Saturday. Service was also great, and event though it was scorching hot out, they kept the place cool with fans etc. Overall an awesome experience.
