Having visited this place on a few occasions, both with friends and for a takeout, I decided to give them a five star rating for the food, the service and the ability to cater for large groups.
Located in the Bitterne Triangle area it’s easy to find and get to.
I have had many Indian meals in my life and this is up there with my favourite places.
It was closed for the lockdown and many people thought it my not reopen.
Now that it is again, please visit and enjoy the experience.

They have just reopened and are back to the excellent standards of quality food as before. Really nice vindaloo highly recommend them. They also gave us a free Bombay potato side dish which we really enjoyed. Great to have you back.

A great find!
We visited the Bitterne Balti in September last year and had a fantastic time. The food was great in terms of quality & cost and the service very attentive. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly!

Great food as always. Booked a sit down meal tonight and the food was amazing, just as good as we have had delivered from them. Well recommend. Very friendly staff in the restaurant. Will be using them again.

Fantastic food and great staff. Don't hesitate to ask them about the food. They can cook it to whatever preference you want. Atmosphere it's very relaxed. I ordered a passanda initially. The waiter asked me why I chose it and after a bit of discussion he recommended a Rogan Josh. What a meal! I'm so glad he took the time to find out what I was wanting to eat. Definitely worth a visit!

Came down from London to see my grandparents and heard about this place so we decided to eat there, the service is amazing the staff is super friendly absolutely amazing food they catered for me as I am vegan. 10/10 would go again

Me and my family have been eating here for years! We love the meals and their takeaway is our Saturday night treat we always look forward to. Its nice to eat in the restaurant too and I like the artwork on the walls. I'd recommend the Bitterne Balti Special for something different. My fiancé won't order anything else!

Lovely little local Indian restaurant and takeaway. Nice food at reasonable prices. The inside has been done up recently as well, very nice standard inside now. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Been coming to Bitterne Balti for years and I don't think that'll be changing anytime soon!
