Vegetable Garden

Vegan starts a restaurant with a 5 star rating and they then have to prove it. They did. I don’t know real Chinese food except the style my son left China with. But the food was great. Cumin fries were ordered on a whim and were great. Gen tsao chicken was very good and minimally sweet. My wife’s fried tofu dish was a bit salty for my taste. Avocado sushi a work of art. Waitress was excellent and the place clean. This has become a family regular.

This place is the absolute best Asian restaurant for vegetarians or vegans in the area. All the food is amazing and there are so many great options to pick from. And the prices are reasonable. Favorite part for me was the eel sushi. When I ate meat that was my go to and this is the only place I know of that offers that as a vegan alternative.

I have to say it was very good. Very tasty and spicy, the way I like it. The only thing that I really don’t like to say, is that the waitress just was a little too blunt and to the point. No finesse. You know how some waiters and waitresses just have the finesse for the job? The ones that are usper friendly, with a smile and happy to serve you? I just didn’t get that vibe from her. Maybe it’s just me, but I expect friendly service and a smile when I am paying for a service. Other than that, the mushroom dish was very good, with rice on top and a little soy sauce. The cumin tofu was very delicious. My compliments to the chefs. Overall, I’d recommend this place for vegan options.

I ate an early dinner here today with a vegan friend who was visiting from California. I ordered the vegetables with rice noodles, and it was simply delicious! I mean delicious for any restaurant, not just vegetarian or vegan! I wish they would open one in Gaithersburg or Germantown, closer to where I live.

The atmosphere is normally peaceful and quiet. Service is great and food is amazing! I don't really like that the default rice that comes with the dishes is brown rice though (otherwise I would rate 5 ⭐) My favorite dishes: curry supreme, The Lima beans really absorb the flavor ❤️ Sweet and sour or orange chicken with pineapple (I don't remember) so good I eat it with no rice.
