Studio Cafe

We decided to stop by the charming Cowboy Cafe for a late lunch. The service was quick and polite and decor had a wonderful western feel. The Ham and cheese panini was pretty good. A bit disappointed that it was a la carte and had to buy gems on the side. The cheeseburger was alright. The patty seemed pre made, which was somewhat saddening with the prices that they charged. One would think that a customer would get fresh, not frozen. This isn’t fast food. The winning portion of the meal was the pie. The homemade strawberry rhubarb pie was fantastic. Warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream, it took all my woes about the chewy hamburger patty away. Unfortunately, if I was to go back to Sheridan, I don’t think that I would be trying the Cowboy Cafe again.

No no no quality of food and extreme prices turned us off of this place. Was disappointed in all but one of our dishes. The hot beef leaves a bit to be desired. Someone needs to train them how to make mashed potatoes ,season beef,and gravy. I had to Dr it at the table with sugar,mustard,ketchup,salt,pepper,& a coffee creamer just to get her to put the meat down. I told her don't worry about the mashed potatoes they were a lost cause. The pork shank coming in at $18.99 as well as the elk sausage/buffalo sausage at $18.99 is a pass not worth it. The Cod with fries saved the day and that's why it gets 1 star & the other star is for goodness of the strawberry rhubarb pie. I guess you live and learn.

Had their Yellowstone skillet for breakfast and opted for the spicy elk sausage instead of buffalo sausage. Talk about the perfect combination of heat and flavor! Everything was cooked just right, and portion size was ample but not overwhelming. Service was prompt and smooth even with it being a full house. I'm looking forward to exploring their menu in the future.

This local eatery is one of the best I've visited in the town of Sheridan, Wyoming. Featuring 56 choices of pie, Delicious Hollandaise Sauce among other gravies, In-House made items 'like mom use to make', My new favorite drink and first time trying Bloody Mary's enjoyed with meal. Tonight, personally requested favorite sandwich of 'All-Time' 'Monte Cristo' Was the best made sandwich ~Of All Time~ that I have eaten up to now. Served with Sweet Potato Fries with Ranch Dressing.
