Copa Vida

Last trip to San Diego, discovered Copa Vida on J, this time the Broadway location was closest to my lodging. Seems a little but like they are still getting their act together, the BEST iced espresso in a long, long time! Milk based drinks were not as good as I recall, perhaps barista that was on bar during my stops? Also get an almond croissant. Just get one! On my day two, staff better prepared and very aware of the silly woman (me) who was thinking about what drink to get, so they instantly pointed out the menu. What happened to the almond butter toast that was a great breakfast staple, is it still on J street location menu? Need more savory breakfast items, but that is just a travelers wish.

Copa Vida(cup of life)is very conveniently located downtown in the middle of the business district. The property is very spacious with comfy seating and a nice layout. Service by Barista Landry was excellent. My mocha was very good. The only negatives are prices are high, they close at 5pm everyday and not open on Sundays. There is also a limited food selection but Brueggers bagels is next door.

Ok, this place is absolutely amazing!! I wish i wasnt in a hurry to really enjoy this place.from the open concept styled room setup to the oval counter top where all the coffee making magic happens. This place is a must if you ever find yourself in downtown San Diego! I order a simple americano light ice with almond milk. It was out of this world, i am very particular with my coffee, and just like my coffee. But copa vida was simple and just a joy to drink! And the prices were not bad at all. I wish i could have bought some coffee that they served me, because it was delightful. Great customer service! I loveeee this place and will be back soon!
