I think Valtori is a fantastic pizzeria with great food that goes way beyond pizza. As for pizza: Anthony and his team make some of the best crust I’ve ever had anywhere, and I’ve sampled a lot of pizza!!To get the best crust experience , order a whole pie of your choice, and eat it fresh and hot. For salad pizza lovers, you will love Valtori’s. Again the crust is a big contributor but the salad ingredients are fantastic as well. Salads in general are great. My family also loves the baked clams and the meatballs (on their own, over pasta, or on a parm wedge). We love a lot of Rye’s pizza and are so happy to have Valtori in the mix!

The way pizza should be! Perfect sauce taste and quantity, amazing crust and quality non-greasy cheese. Paper thin crust as good as any in NYC. Owner Tony is always there, keeping the quality high. Reasonable prices and a great menu of choices balance out my five star rating! Loved the sourdough crust but was not requested enough for Tony to keep making it. Had a loyal following, but not enough. Try encouraging him to bring it back! By far the best pizza in the area. Period.

Over 30 years in Rye…have had pizza from just about every area shop. Valtori’s has the best grandma pie, hands down! Without fresh mozzarella on top, it is a true grandma pie (ala Umberto’s) crust is fabulous, sauce delicious!!! Got the special with a grandma pie and large antipasto salad for $24.99…pretty much what other area shops charge for subpar grandma pies. Can’t wait to try more of their offerings.
