Tatsuya West Ryde has been a family favourite for many years. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. This was only my second visit since the pandemic and I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of food and presentation seems to have gone to a higher level. Not that there has ever been an issue with quality. The Don Katsu was excellent as always. There are signs saying there is a 10% increase in menu prices because of higher supply prices, however this is more than compensated for with an extremely generous portion size.

Quite impressed with the food here. Really enjoyed the grilled sushi set and tuna mayo roll and dragon roll, good portion sizes, reasonable prices. The katsu was a bit dry and sauce was too sour, wouldn't recommend it and instead stick to the sushi and rolls. No bathroom here so make sure you go beforehand near the woolies lol

We had a late lunch. -Deluxe sashimi plate 32pc -Grilled Sushi Set 10pc -Soft shell Crab Roll 9pc -Takoyaki 8pc Between 2 people this was alot of food but we wanted to try a range of their food. Definetly could have ordered 1 less dish and still been full. Overall all the food was delicious. Sashmi was really fresh and tender and melted in the mouth. Great presentation Grilled sushi set was great. Good size pieces. Takoyaki was tasty and enjoyable. Was served piping hot which made it even better. Soft shell crab roll was nice. Good piece of crab inside. Staff were friendly, we got really quick service as there was only 1 other table of diners. They currently have an extra 10 percent charge in place which is ontop of the billed menu price. I find it understandable with inflation and increasing prices for ingredients. We saw this in a different review so we understood this extra cost before we went. Overall for what we ordered it was a little expensive but we were happy with the quality. Will definetly be coming back.

We booked online and went during a weeknight. Service was amazing, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The venue is quite small, very cosy and it has a nice busy vibe. We had a sashimi deluxe platter, soft shell crab roll, salmon roll, vegetarian roll, baby avocado roll and mix tempura. They gave us complimentary miso soup which was great. Everything was very tasty and beautiful presented. They don’t service alcohol so you can BYO. Corkage is $2.50, they will provide you with glasses.
