Visited Helmi's almost every day that we were on the Isle of Bute. I have truly nothing bad to say. The staff were lovely. Every cake was delicious and so was the coffee. Would highly recommend stopping in by - our highlights of the visit being the Paris Brest and the Lemon Tart.

On Bute for three days, and on each day we made a point of coming here!
The cakes and pastries are delightful. Highly recommend the lemon tart and the Paris-Brest!
We also couldn’t resist getting some Baklava to takeaway with us to eat on the ferry!

I called in on Tuesday on my way back to the ferry. Two cyclists that I met earlier in the day recommended it. Unfortunately, the shop was closing, so I couldn't get a coffee, but I did buy a box of baklava and a box of medjool dates - both very nice. I also treated myself to a slice of raspberry cake which was yummy! Highly recommended.

Where to start... The food was just perfect. The chicken shawarma wrap (in the pic) is a must try. So is the mozarella & za'atar roll (unusal combition which works great). All the baked goods are super yummy (you have to try their croissants and apple pie but hurry up - they sell out fast).
The service is top notch and the friendly guys just bring the whole experience to the next level. I will be returning whenever I'm visiting Isle of Bute.

What a find! Such simple decoration and presentation but the food is fantastic. A real hidden gem. The chicken shawarma wrap is delicious, as is the breakfast platter. The cakes were an absolute delight too - full of flavour, light, moist... Wow. This place totally deserves its 4.9*.
