Ripon Roadhouse

We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it's not a place we would go back to. I give it 3 stars because everyone was friendly, clean and food presentation was nice. We started off with mozzarella wedges and Shelley's nachos. Wedges were cheesy but the flavor wasn't complete. Nachos were different since chips were on the side. They were okay but maybe because were not used to eating Nachos like that. For our entrées we had the 16oz ribeye steak with fries and loaded mash as the sides, the mushroom Swiss burger with garlic fries and two orders of the kids grilled chicken with fries. My husband ordered the steak medium well and it was a little more red than expected. Loaded mash had an off flavor and overall fries were just okay. Now I wasn't sure of what to expect with the burger and garlic fries as I love Brothers for their fries and burgers and Brothers remains the winner for me! Garlic fries and burger were sad... I remember reading something about garlic sauce in the burger but it had no sauce and no flavor and I had to use BBQ sauce to give it some flavor. Our total came to $130 with a tip. Maybe it wasn't our thing or our taste buds were off but unfortunately we weren't satisfied at the end and we'll have to go make a trip to Brothers soon.
