Finca

First time at Finca! A nice, unexpected, relaxed eatery in the heart of Ridgewood. We had a great waiter, Isaac, who gave us the time, recommendations and friendly service. We love tapas style eating, everything was presented artistically and was tastefully yummy! Short rib quesadilla was a good recommendation and we loved the mini paella which actually was plentiful and perfect! Truffle fries, pear salad & rice balls were were nicely done considering it’s on everyone’s menu now! We had to try the cotton candy tree which is very unique but we should’ve gone with his Napoleon recommendation; next time!! Sorry, I didn’t have more pictures to show but we forgot to take pictures because everything was so yummy!!

I had doubts about having a bunch of what I considered appetizers for dinner but I am now a believer! There are dozens of items to choose from on the menu and everything we tried was very high quality and delicious. It was nice not having to commit to a single entree item for my meal. There were five of us so we got to sample a wide variety. We especially enjoyed the gnocchi and paella. Make sure you try the empanadas! There are five kinds but the cheeze steak, original and lamb were especially good. The braised short ribs were to die for and the Truffel fries were crispy and delicious. I almost forgot to mention the grilled octopus; it was tender and delicious and served on a bed quinoa. The environment is warm and cozy if a bit noisy but we went on a Saturday night when it was very busy. Our server was very attentive and friendly and the manager (owner?) checked on us several times. Overall FINCA was a great experience and we plan to go back.

The food here is delicious but our service was not a great experience. We kept having to wait a long time to be helped and get waiters attention ourselves and after asking for things or ordering we'd have to remind them about it after waiting a while. However, once getting the food it is really good.

I've been coming to Finca for more than a year. I always bring my friends there to show them my favorite place. It's my number 1 on the list. Food is so delicious always fresh and perfect, sangria is soooooo soooooo good I can literally drink a whole pitcher. Stuff is great. And atmosphere so unique. If I could recommend you something I would definitely go for Gnocchi, stuffed avocado, short ribs and zeppoli tree for desert but please keep in mind, anything you choose is always so good! If I could I would definitely give you more stars!

Good food, excellent staff. Wife and I sat at a table for two and ordered 5 small plates plus sangria, which all came at once. Table was too crowded to properly enjoy the meal, but I'll chock that up to this being our first time there and not knowing what to expect. We would do things differently if/when we go again.
