Went here on a whim with a friend. There's designated parking on the side of the building, tho very limited. Expect the pat down and purse check. Music and crowd were mixed. Fairly crowded! However, for so many people being inside, with no real "direction" at the bar, we started a tab/ordered and were served really quickly each time we approached. Drinks were okay. The food? Bar food. There are games in the back and karaoke in the front. Pool, basketball, and I believe the game is called "Cornhole"? I felt safe the entire time, and there were no "incidents". Also never a line for the restroom!! Win! Id return.

City Beach is always a great spot to catch any kind of game, good food, and good drinks. The service is always great from all the staff, and it is very cozy there with games in the back room & a couch area in the middle as well. Just have to throw this out there: My group went for college football games, but we were equally entertained with Rugby & Soccer matches as well. This is one of my favorite spots in RVA 🤙

Went to play pool - two tables and in good condition . All types of folks and everyone was super friendly !

I didn't get any food or any drinks really. I just went straight to the back. I like those games. The cornhole, the basketball and the pool tables is pretty cool in the back.

Played a show at the National and met a really cool girl that bartended at city beach. Went in to see her and she was amazing. Can’t say enough good things about City Beach! The atmosphere was incredible and the staff is amazing. 10/10 would reccomend!
