Chubby Tuna

I loved the place!! You can make your own bowl and regular size was large enough for lunch. It was bit much :) place is clean and well organized, food was tasty and fresh in my persoanl opinion. You will be given many choices to make your own. Also i think they are doing some promotion till 9/15/18. So try some of their food!! :D

I found out about this place the day after it opened so made plans with a friend to go check it out, when we walked in I was immediately impressed by how clean and stylish the design was and how easy it was to order. I got the Hot 2na Chubbyrito (basically a giant sushi roll/burrito, keep the paper on btw) and a side of fried Spam musabi with a Hot Cheeto crust and my friend went through the line and ordered a custom poke with tuna on top. My fried Spam musabi came out first and was delicious, I had previously never had spam and didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprising and I would definitely order again. Next out was my friend's Poke which look phenomenal and according to her tasted just as good as it looked with the fried garlic bits being a flavor bonus. Then out came my Chubbyrito which while being a little delayed as to the training of a new employee, with a side of spam fries on the house for the delay. The Hot 2na Chubbyrito was certainly a highlight and contrasted the fresh-out-of-the-fryer Spam fries really well. I would certainly come here again and despite lacking some polish in the fine details for a restaurant less than a week old I was very impressed with the staff and food.

We just moved into the area and we were pleasantly surprised that Chubby Tuna sales Spam Musubi! They did a great job and it was very flavorful. We wanted to try one if their fried versions but their fryer was out. Oh well, it’ll give us an excuse to come back. Their customer service was top notch as well. Very friendly cashier and the place was spotless.

I liked it, it was very good and tasted fresh. The only thing I wish is that they offered at least 1 more mix-in & topping without a charge. Like 3, instead of 2 for those items when you build your own bowl. The regular size is great for lunch, but if you're particularly hungry opt for the chubby size. In our family, we tend to be hungry during dinner because we have a lighter lunch - so we could've gotten the larger bowl and felt more satisfied. The atmosphere is clean, bright, and updated for quick bites (not recommended for cozy meet ups). The staff was super great and helpful. They understood the keto diet and recommended sauces to avoid due to sugar. That was really nice. If you're in the area, this is a great place to visit. We live in Rowlett and this is currently the closest Poke place to us, so we will be back.

Our office heard about this restaurant from some of our patients and so we decided to have them cater lunch last week. We were very excited to see and taste what our patients were talking about and they did not disappoint! It was nothing like we've ever had before. It was so good that we ordered from there again today. Awesome job Chubby Tuna!
