Mod Pizza

Great place! Let’s be honest your not going to find a traditional New York or Chicago Style pizza here, but having the ability to customize your pizza the way you want and pair that with quality is a rare thing. The crust is the best part of Mod Pizza for me. The bbq sauce which is one of the many you can choose from, is a bit underwhelming as it just mellows into the total taste in your mouth, but still great. The red sauce is where it is at for me! Very tangy head to it that slaps you in the mouth and just when your about the roll up your sleeves and give it your right hook; the sweetness an spice kicks in. The staff that I have met the several times I have been there is a bit monotonous. All of them seem really young and eclectic. You have 2-3 people up in front that are in the topping area just droning away never saying a word. With 1-2 people on the right side of the front end expediting packing the pizzas in the correct order for the pizzas being place in the boxes as they are completed. The person cooking the pies are normally the most energetic, professional person in the front end. As you are wanting them go, turning and placing pie to or from the oven, you cant help but notice what seems to be 20 different employees walking in and out of the back of the restaurant. Just when you think you have seen them all, you see a new face. Will go back soon…

It’s difficult to find vegan cheese at any pizza place in Redding. I discovered that MOD Pizza has vegan cheese! This pizza did not disappoint. It was so good! I will absolutely be back. I got it with a side salad and nondairy dressing and it was amazing! The staff is friendly and courteous and the restaurant was very clean.

Not sure what happened to our pizza but it definitely does not look like other pics in these reviews. After driving for 9 hours, we grabbed some Mod pizzas and a salad to go. When we opened them up in our hotel room, we were very disappointed. Our pizza looked like it had about half of the ingredients of a normal pizza. Our salad was supposed to have balsamic dressing and was completely dry. We weren't about to go back out after driving all day to get it corrected. Disappointing.
