Cafe 191

Really needed a bit of a caffeine and sugar boost and stopped by. Don’t know the area well so went by the rating - 4.7. It’s now clear that’s based on something other than the pastry selection, as the orange and almond cake was remarkable only in the fact that it tasted almost of nothing - no orange, no almond. Didn’t even have any sweetness to it, which was just kinda weird. I’m not a super picky eater and was craving a sugar hit but I couldn’t manage more than two small bites (one just to check if the first one was really as bad as I thought). Coffee and my partner’s almond croissant were OK though.

What a surprise this café really was... We've not been in the area for years now, but as I used to live close by I thought we'd try a local café. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the location was pretty handy with lots of parking, delicious coffee, it wasn't busy (even for a Sunday breakfast), and the food..... ugh - the food, was, amazing. The baked eggs and brekkie wrap were fantastic. I'll definitely try the Mediterranean Breakfast next time - it looked so fresh and yummy! Well done team at Cafe 191!

Ordered the Bacon and Egg roll, which according to the menu says "served with your choice of sauce". However, when the counter chick asked me what sauce I wanted with that and I replied hollandaise sauce - I was charged for the hollandaise sauce. Disappointed with that. The roll did taste quite good but being overcharged ruined the experience a bit.
