I used to work here, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! I had a wonderful experience working for Bongiorno's and know everyone will have just the same eating there! Everything is made fresh, the dough is mixed and made in store and cheese is hand ground/sliced. I have since moved states, but am always thinking about bongiornos! Stop here whenever you visit San Diego, it is a staple food spot to enjoy! Love always.

This place has an awesome all meat pie just love it. Thin crust pizza but chewy so yum. Chicken wings yeah buuuuudy. Tried the meatball sandwich was a hard pass for me ymmv. There calzone was ok.... As the list above indicates been there a few times. Ooh french fries awesome and CRISPY but no ketchup. So insider tip ask for one of the chicken dressing sauces as a dip for the Fry's.

As advertised, traditional New York style pizza. I especially like the thin crunchy crust. We ordered our pepperoni for pizza for takeout. The employees are polite, helpful and friendly. There is an informal indoor seating area for people who want to eat onsite. Not fancy, but comfortable. We will be back! Update I hadn't tasted the spaghetti and meatballs yet as we had the order packaged for take-home. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish which was overflowing in its container :) The spaghetti is not the typical thick spaghetti noodle, it's on the thinner side which I like. The meatballs are very tasty!

Great NY cheese pizza. Tuesdays have a special for it. When you come in, order at the front or get a table and look at the menu, then get in line with the cashier. The gelato looked good, but only one sample per person which seemed like a strange rule. It would have been great to have more engaging help than the ladies in front offered. There is polite and then there is friendly/helpful. Maybe reconsider chewing a wad of white gum or instead of saying "the price is on the menu," helping a customer with the prices that are hard to read especially if you are the only two customers in the place? The thin, cheap napkins/ paper towels are terrible. The acoustics in the back room make it hard to hear even with a couple of people and the TV turned down, but that's me.
