This venue has survived as a café for decades, although not always under the same management. So it is particularly pleasing that it is really good in its current form. There is a wide ranging breakfast & lunch menu with all the standard & favourite regulars as well as more unusual options. The food is fresh & well prepared. The staff are friendly & prompt.

Stumbled across this delightful establishment on a hot Sunday morning. We enjoyed a sunny welcome, and between us a superb breakfast of eggs Benedict, muesli, pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, and croissants. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented, as well as tasting delicious, and all at a very attractive price.

Back on form! This place has really turned it around since my last review. Quality is back up, and good friendly service. Really decent coffee, and the salads are out of this world... see pic! So pleased! 😀 (9 months ago) Used to be my favourite, but a number of decisions have detracted from it somewhat. There is no longer table service, which isn't too problematic, but the quality and portion sizes have reduced and the prices increased. Such a shame. Not a terrible place to eat, but lacking its former attraction.
