Fired Pie

I came in for a to go order around 3:50PM on Tuesday 8/22/23. My boyfriend raves about this place and keeps insisting it’s better than Mod pizza- but I love mod pizza!!!! So finally, I went to try Fried Pies out. The place was clean, despite there only being one person behind the counter. There was one person in front of me- who seemed like she was a regular- or at least she knew the guy behind the counters name, and he knew hers. The guy behind the counter- Pete (I think) - and took a refreshing amount of pride in what he did. It was the kind of service you would expect if the actual owner of the business themselves was behind the counter- he seemed invested in the places success. The toppings were put on with thought, spread evenly and appropriately for a pizza- and the dough wasn’t burned or undercooked. I’ve gotten so used to food where I have to open the sandwich rearrange the clump of pickles in one corner of the bread… or pizza where all the pepperoni has been stack on one side, or a sandwich that has so much lettuce you can’t close it- I know it seems like such a small detail but it was just refreshing. He was also friendly. He joked around a little when I asked if I could put certain things on my pizza (because obviously I could). I was surprised he clocked out at 4pm. I’m sure he was ready to go home- but he wasn’t rushing, wasn’t rude or upset he had to take an order that close to his clock out time. Mod pizza and fried pies are far as taste, quality of food are probably about the same. If someone put a mod pizza in a fried pie box- I don’t know that I would be able to tell the difference. But I was really impressed with the customer service I got at this place - and now I see why my boyfriend always wants to go here! I’m converted

Great build your own pizza place! Wood fired oven , thin crust, tons of toppings. Made my self a Mediterranean pizza. My husband made his self a meatovers pizza. Both of us enjoyed our dinner! Tables were dirty and the their trash was over flowing. Young group behind the counter and they seemed to be ending the dinner rush. Over all , we had a great experience and we will definitely be returning.
