Amy's Downtown Diner

This is an amazing hidden gem. Definitely my new go to spot in Perry. My service was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my corned beef hash with green peppers and onions.It was crispy,but not dried out. My eggs were cooked perfectly as were my American fries. The cherry on top was the monstrous pancake I added to my meal...I love pancakes and this is one of the best I have ever tasted. Great job to all. Can't wait for my next meal at Amy's.

Went in for brunch and I was NOT disappointed! Wow!! Corned beef hash was homemade heaven! Fresh food and lots of it! The decor is MEH but let’s be honest, I’m not eating the chairs or tables! The wait staff was young and attentive and the coffee MUGS were the things of legend. I may have to move to Perry just to eat here more often! Keep up the great work “Amy”

Ordered biscuits and gravy, expecting to get biscuits. Not some kind of corn bread-esque slab. Menu on Google was outdated and prices ended up being twice as much than anticipated when we went to pay for our to-go order. Also I seen the reply of portion sizes being proportionate to price? I ordered a half order and my SO ordered full. We both would've been happier with normal 'half /full' portion sizes. Not monster portions for twice as much. But gave 2 stars as the gravy was alright.

This place was OK I think 40 dollars for 4 people to eat microwaved food is a bit expensive. You can tell the sausage, and bacon was microwaved plus you can hear it going off every 10 minutes. How can you call yourself a hometown dinner if you microwave everything I could have went to Meijer and bought everything we ate for 20 bucks and microwaved it myself. My wife's French toast was rubber and store bought, I think the only they they actually cooked from scratch was my pancakes.

Go Big or Go Home.... This gem of a restaurant is by far one of the better places for breakfast and definitely at the top in Shiawassee County! For those traveling down I-69, it’s just a hop and a skip from the freeway and will have you coming back for more. The place is small and intimate, with very attentive wait staff so if you have to wait for a table it’s well worth it. My order consisted of a vegetarian omelette, home fries and rye toast. The omelette was made with 3 eggs, fresh onions, green pepper, mushrooms and cheese. The home fries were soft and warm in the middle, with a nice crunch on the outside. The toast was good enough, that I picked up a loaf of the bread to go. While Perry/Shiawassee County may not have a lot of options when it comes to sit down diners, this is a place to visit.
