Walter B’s

Reading reviews, ignore whining about prices....WB isn't responsible for that. JB Maybe is. Ever burger joint is expensive these days. Don't let those reviews scare you, the prices are far less than most convenience stores I've been to. Their beer selection is modest, and prices are what I would expect. Far cheaper in fact that I paid for the same product earlier in my travels. I really have nothing bad to say, and I make a point to look for the good and the bad before I write any review. The person at the counter whom I paid, was friendly and even took a minute of time to joke with me. They have a meat case if you are camping locally, which was nice. Driving 40 miles to buy dinner is an hour you'll never get back. The meat in the case was fresh, price reasonably, and looked REALLY good. I had a refrigerator full, so I didn't need any -- but see I probably could have gotten better quality and the same or lower price had I researched first. This area of the state has very little to offer, but it was great to find something pleasant like Walter B's.

So today, after a long day at work, I decided to order a dozen hot wings. I LOVE Wings!!! I have gotten this exact order many times. In previous times, the wings were okay. They weren't anything to brag about; I have had better wings at the Wheel House, Nowhere Grill, and Dominos. Because of the past experiences, I wasn't expecting the best wings in town but just decent hot wings. When I sat down to eat my wings tonight, I first took notice of how much sause there was. I love extra sause, so this was a plus for me. I got 3 small wings in before I realized something wasn't right. The chicken was a little on the slimy side, and the wings were not cooked all the way. If that was the case for the small wings that they had made me, how were the bigger ones done all the way through? They weren't. So, needless to say, I paid $15 for food that I had to throw away. I am hoping I don't get sick from the three I did eat. My option is: DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE, GO TO NOWHERE GRILL INSTEAD. Nowhere grill can be slammed full with an hour and a half wait time and still give you better food than what I received from Walter B's, who only had a total of 4 orders.

Walter and Ms.Paula as well as all the others there are just the greatest friendliest people around. Their prices are not high by comparison to quality and also the service is first rate. Anyone who puts a price on that will always want more for less. I'm here to tell you you will not leave hungry no matter what you buy. Period. And if you do catch the kitchen on a off day all you have to do is mentioned .it and the proprietors will see to your satisfaction. I would have left five stars but you can't.

Bias and prejudice people plague this place, they let their friends harass customers then when the customer says something back to the harasser they tell said customer to leave, they never say a word to their friends. They talk trash about customers and make snide remarks to them. Bags of raw chicken leaking, they skimp you on the fried pickles, its supposed to be 5 ounces but i have received several ounces under and a few times barely any pickles at all, just a few slices, cramped dining area. Gas pump card readers are commonly out of order. They are slow even when their is only a few ppl there. I lost a hat awhile back and some time later i went in the store and this guy was wearing a hat that looks just like the one i lost (which i have never seen on anyones head in this county but mine as its a unique hat and i have never seen it for sale locally). Prices are jacked beyond belief. They leave potatoes out in the light, let them turn green and sell them anyways. This place needs to be shut down.
