Red's Kitchen & Tavern

All I can say is Red's is an UNBELIEVABLE GEM of a restaurant, one of the many great things about Reds is it's great for breakfast lunch and dinner, and to give you a little hint about the size of the pancake it actually could block the Sun. LOL Honestly I cannot say anything bad about the restaurant I can only praise it, I give you a big fat 10

This restaurant feels like part 50s diner mixed with warm wood tones. It has a nice decor, a large comfortable dining room where guests won't feel they are right on top of each other in the many booths, and plenty of parking. You can also sit at the more traditional diner counter. The menu is big and.varied, with daily specials, good desserts, and reasonable prices (except the desserts were a bit pricey for a more casual restaurant). The problem we encountered, unfortunately, was the food preparation. My friend and I both ordered a smash burger...where the patties are fairly thin and wide...and they were raw inside. They happily remade them, but both were still quite rare rare on the second try too. We ate them, but it was not how we prefer our burgers. The french fries, which might have been double fried, were delicious. The service was also excellent. While I had never been before, my friend had dined there previously and had the same experience with the food being just ok. Ironically, the burger was one of the daily specials...so how could the cook not know how to cook them?
