Panera Bread

Choices - Panera Bread used to be really awesome 15 years ago. Back then, I called it, "gourmet fast food". They had a good selection and their food was delicious. Then they took my favorite sandwich AND my favorite salad off the menu AT THE SAME TIME. I can't remember for sure, but I think this was around 2014. Since then, I only go to Panera when I can't find anywhere else to go. I've gone twice for breakfast in the last month, and again it seems like many breakfast items have disappeared off the menu. This morning, the cashier told the man in front of me, "We don't have that any more". I seem to remember having more options for cream cheese and breakfast sandwiches. Last time I was there, I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on ciabatta bread. It looked great but had almost zero flavor. If Panera refuses to give me choices, I'll make my own and choose not to go there any more.

Ordered the pick 2. The sesame Asian salad (without chicken)was delicious and a large portion. The dressing was light and refreshing. The Mediterranean sandwich was good. A little skimpy because I ordered without feta. I Wish I had ask for extra hummus. Everyone was social distancing and employees were wearing mask. The place was spotless and constantly being cleaned. Will definitely go again.

The iced coffee is the most watery I have ever tasted, and it came out room temperature from the vat and melted most of the ice right away. Easily the worst iced coffee I've tasted, I'd rather go to McDonald's. Quality control on that needs attention, or maybe corporate needs to change the recipe to use less water!
