Yellow curry is on point. Everything else I tried was pretty good. They have a nutty to go system. Seems like they are due to a technology upgrade. But even though they are super super busy no one other than customers who have been waiting for 45+ min for their order are bothered. The customer service was pretty good. Not much seating available. Most people order Togo. This place is cute.

Nine & nine kitchen is located in Pasadena, they have a cute tuk tuk (the iconic Thai transport) at the storefront. You just can't miss it! So cute! Speaking of the food, we opted for a Tom yum noodle soup, deep fried minced pork sandwich, and a lunch special red curry. What impressed me the most was the red curry lunch special, it came with some complimentary salad and two egg rolls. Great value for the money, red curry was good too. And, I really loved the sauce that came with the sandwich, it was so refreshing. Overall, another good Thai restaurant in Pasadena. Worth visiting.

Pasadena has a had a renaissance of Thai restaurants of recent years. Saladang used to be be my main Thai place for 20+ years before it went under new ownership. Nine&Nine has emerged as our new go to place for authentic Thai food. They offer great tasting dishes with range that are well priced and reminds me of Bangkok (I’ve been over 30x over the last 25yrs). The Tuk-Tuk in the front creates a great mood. Satay, Salad Rolls, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, Ka Prow Gai Minced Chicken, Kanaa Moo (Chinese broccoli w crispy pork) and Mango Sticky Rice are all great. Fish Prik Khing w String Beans is good depending on which cook makes it has been a little salty at times. But on the whole this place is SOLID!!! The owner takes great pride in what she makes and won’t serve you mango sticky rice if it’s not in season. We’ve been coming here once a week for almost a year now and would say it’s one of the best Thai places in LA and the best in Pasadena. We like this place so much that we often cater food from here via take out when we have our friends and family over for gatherings pictures below!!!
