Doc's Sunset Grille

Through a strange confluence of events, I found myself in Oxford with a couple of co-workers on a Tuesday night. We dropped by Mac's to have some drinks and apps. First things first, the outside atmosphere was awesome. The weather was perfect, and we had a great time enjoying the view on the deck. Second, the crab balls were dynamite. Lots of back fin in them, when this is often a claw meat sort of appetizer. Truly, I would go back to Mac's, and make a dinner of the things with fries and some slaw. Third, after a little bit of a slow start, the service was really good. The crab balls came out fresh, and our beers were cold and poured correctly. Plus the server was friendly. All told, I understand why Mac's is so popular. If I ever make it back to Oxford, I will definitely go back. This time for a couple more beers and something else off the menu.

We try to take a trip to the Eastern Shore of Maryland at least once a year. The towns of St. Michaels, Easton and Oxford are beautiful and there is plenty to do. One of our first stops is always Doc's Sunset Grille. The staff has always been really nice to us. On this visit, Mimi was very friendly and mixed a great daiquiri There is nothing better than a glass of wine or a strawberry daiquiri while looking out over Chesapeake Bay. One of our favorite birds is the double crested cormorant and they love to hang out at the pier in front of Doc's. We highly recommend a visit to Doc's while in Oxford, Md or while visiting the Eastern Shore.
