The people here! I don't even have words to describe how amazing they are. Just good, friendly, awesome folks. They treated me with pure hospitality and respect the 2 times I've been here. I am an over the road truck driver, and they're super truck friendly. The BBQ is good enough that I drove 35 miles out of my way to stop here for lunch! I'm from Texas and have cooked competition BBQ for years, so I'm very, very picky. This strip center,, dive bar, serving BBQ out of it is an absolute oxymoron, but damn, do they make it work! Excellent people and even better smoked meat!!

We ordered delivery, they called asking if we could pick it up because they did not have a driver. No problem. We get home and we ordered 2 ribs and 2 meat dinner. We didn't get our ribs, stuffed mushrooms were cold and sausage we ordered is not what we expected. Gross. Sausage is like a salty Salisbury Steak. Brisket is way too dry also. People that left good reviews must have been drunk. Sorry not sorry. Not worth $41.00 we spent.

First time in and not disappointed. I got the jumbo Brisket Sandwich and I can't complain, it was pretty dang good. The sauce wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. My girlfriend got a turkey sandwich and it looked good and she said it was good. Sweet potato fries were really good as well, it comes with syrup that is surprisingly really good. They have a daily special and supposedly they have really good food/drink specials for football games too. Overall I would recommend it and I'll come back.

Ok so this is the first time we have tried Fireside since it was opened under new ownership and it was not a good experience. The pulled pork was dry and bland. The ribs were tough and bland as well. The portion size of the double meat was very small for the prices being charged. Overall compared to other BBQ joints in Kansas City this is not a place I can say I'd recommend or be likely to go back to.
