Finally visited for the first time with the recommendation from my colleague! First impression was a little “eh…” because the building is quite old. As you get seated, you’ll feel a sense of authenticity and at-home kind of atmosphere. Service is excellent, staff are very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered tonight (see photos). Portions are great and was cooked authentically well! I’m from Toronto so I’m picky when it comes to Chinese food, but I really liked this place! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an AUTHENTIC chinese food spot!

For having just found it, Jadeland was quite good. Service was great and they were very polite. Excellent choices and the food was delectable. An easy recommendation for anyone in, or coming to Ottawa. Don't be fooled by the outside of the building. It was quite nice inside. Outside could use some TLC but it was not a factor in my decision to eat there.

Great food, friendly staff, what a delight. Been trying to find a good Chinese food place for a bit and finally found one that hit the spot. Ordered black pepper beef, Kung Po chicken, and Yangzhou fried rice. I was reading comments about how the fried rice was not flavorful and dry but I believe it was great. The food was salted and spiced well. Good flavors and large portions between all the dishes. Will definitely come back again when I get my Chinese food craving.

While I wasn’t able to celebrate the Lunar New Year with friends, nor able to share laughs, good food and well wishes for the year ahead, I did want to take the opportunity to reflect on these great memories. I ordered some of my favourites (ahead of time) and scheduled a pickup for later that day. No issues. Despite the challenges these days, the service was friendly. The wonderful food served as a gateway to past memories. It left me smiling and hopeful for what will be.

I highly recommend this restaurant not because of its quality and delicious food but also because of the service here! The food was unbelievably delicious, if you love dimsum, don’t forget to ask for a dimsum menu (if you come in dinner time). This restaurant so far is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Ottawa ❤️ whenever I have craving for Chinese food for even just simply shrimp har gow, this place is always the first one come in my mind ❤️

I had not eaten here in years but, we ordered from here on Christmas Eve. After waiting well over a hour, our food was finally ready. I was frustrated, but these folks were busting their butts to get the orders out as quickly as possible. It was just a busy time everywhere. The food was so delicious that my husband said it was the best he has had and I said that I would do it all over again and wait for the food. That is how good their food is. Cannot wait to order from the again.

On a snowy Sunday our plan was to go to a restaurant across the street which was closed, our second option same. No choice but select one quickly we saw the sign for this which said Schewan and assumed would give us some spicy food options on a cold day. Seated quickly and menus gives and complimentary green tea (very weak). But waited for someone to come and take our order. We had catch the waitresses attention to come to us to take order although the restaurant being not busy at all and them doing something over the bar/cash counter. Ordered a Veg Fried Rice and a Spicy Hot Tofu. The food did arrive in a reasonable time. The Fried Rice was just some basic veggies and soy sauce with rice. Not flavourful at all. Big disappointment. The Spicy Hot Tofu same. Lots of sauce with soy and tofu, but was very disappointed with flavour. The Chilli sauce had to be requested and sadly even that did not justice. Too mild for for our taste. Prices reasonable and service not at par. The bill took so long as well. And when it came I had my card ready, but no one to take care of the payment. Food and service disappointing.
