Jimmy's Egg

I placed a pickup order for the wrong location on N 80th street. When I showed up to 132nd street to pick it up, they obviously had no record of the order. I turned around and walked out when the waitress informed because typically that just means you are SOL. The cost of food, combined with the breakfast rush almost guarantees that a restaurant will not don’t honor your order when that mistake is made (not my first time making a similar mistake). As I was walking towards my car, Spencer caught me and said, “I’m not making you drive all the way out to 80th street. We’re going to take care of you.” Honestly, it’s been a rough week. My company did a major layoff, and I experienced the death of a family member. So when this happened, I was close to tears. Spencer was so kind and customer focused. It was such a bright spot in my day. It just felt so nice that he clearly cares, even though the restaurant was insanely busy at the time. They made my order and had me out of there within 8 minutes! I tried to pay something and he wouldn’t let me. There just isn’t enough people like this young man in the world today. I hope Jimmy’s Egg appreciates Spencer and his dedication to customers. Amazing service, I can’t say it enough. This was my first time at Jimmy’s Egg and this restaurant definitely has a customer for life after this experience! Thank you, Spencer. Seriously…

My husband and I eat here all the time and have nothing but great things to say. Michelle, Dana, Spencer and the rest of the staff are extremely attentive, hard working and kind. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious! We have tried other locations but highly recommend this location off 132nd and Center. Wonderful all around!! 😊

Love eating at Jimmy's Egg! I went there on a Monday morning and it was quiet, which was great. Food was excellent! Pictures below are of the Western omelette with hash browns and the cinnamon roll pancakes (which are to die for). The other one is the chocolate chip pancakes and buttermilk pancakes.

I stopped in the other day and had brunch with my bestie. We had a great experience. Food is always delicious, hot and fresh and comes out faster than you would think for being busy as can be on a Sunday. I have my go to’s here but one I never get bored of is the Chicken Fried Steak with the perfectly crispy Hash browns topped with grilled onions and cheese, 2 egg’s scrambled and their Buttermilk Pancakes (not pictured because I ate them first). I could write on and on about their Pancakes however this Chicken fried steak is always perfectly crispy, never soggy and greasy and oh is it tender! It’s also able to rewarmed the second day without losing its crispiness which is pretty impressive. I definitely will be back again, also our server was such a sweetheart when my friend and I arrived earlier than the rest of our party and allowed us to be seated while she kept an eye out for the rest of our group. Love the staff, love the food and experience, keep coming back it’s always worth it!

This place is amazing it has become a family tradition for us when in Omaha. Several years ago, I came to Jimmy's Egg based on a suggestion of a nurse at Boys Town Hospital. I was having a bad day and had an amazing waitress when we were leaving she offered me a coffee to go because she heard me say i had a long drive home. It made my day so much better. I never forgot her. Today, I came in and saw her again for the first time since that day and thanked her. I also got seated in her son's section he was amazing and so delightful. I told him my story. I love this place. The food is yummy, and the people are always great. Thank you, Jimmy's Egg, for hiring such kind-hearted people.
