Scratch Kitchen

Well pulled into parking lot at 730pm. Was not full. Usually not a good sign in this town, but thought let's try it will be quicker than any other place. So go in decor is nice. Updated since the last place owned it. Sever was super nice. Then looked at menu and woooowwwww pricey pricey. Orders two drinks and app. Parmesan garlic truffle fries. First off over over powering with garlic and truffle. There was barely enough fries to cover a small plate. Right then decided not to order a main. Once again server super nice. Bread was great but them fries were horrible. There will not be a second visit from us

Gave this place alil time before going to check it out so it could work out the kinks. Unfortunately between the horrible service and overpriced food we won't be returning. The atmosphere was great i love what they did but that doesn't make up for our waiter coming by once every 30 minutes and not even refilling our water... we watched other get their food (same items) since the menu isnt very big nefore ours and we received items at times that werent ours and the person that brought them to us said its oh it's ok it's on the house. Only thing that both my husband and i liked were these fries on the appitizers menu. Other than that we would just recommend going to their other original establishment Sid and Sam's specially if you want a great steak but better pricing. It's on the other side of town and I feel like they decided since it's the east side of town let hijack the prices up.

Me and an associate indulged in The grilled wild caught salmon and it was phenomenal as well as the collards over grits. Loved the music that was appropriate for the setting. Met the two Men who prepared our mealstrotytew and showed them our appreciation. Can't wait to try other options on the menu.

My food was wonderful. Had salmon and collard green grits. Delicious. Pricey to me. Other dishes ordered were crawfish etouffee (wonderful), lava shrimp (spicy but not overwhelming), and the cornbread muffins were surprisingly tasty and flavorful. Service was great and knew the menu. Accommodated space for a stroller. Would definitely go back for special occasion.

We had good service and my family liked the food. I thought it was definitely of similar quality to most of the other places in town, with better atmosphere. It was not busy at all for a Sunday afternoon, especially in Odessa. This makes me think that it just hasn't been able to gain momentum. It should, though, because I would rather eat there than at the Red Lobster across the street where wait times are always at least thirty minutes and the free bread is the sole consolation for slow service. The prices are comparable too. Yeah, the chicken fried steak is $24 but that's the ribeye chicken fried steak. You can get a different cut for $14 or so. There's some promise here, so I hope it finds its groove in a town that loves dining out.

Quick trip to Odessa and we discovered this restaurant. Fast, friendly efficient service. I had their daily special whitefish with Zucchini and "wonder beans'" with carrots. All were excellent. Husband got the Chicken Fried Steak and was pleased with it. (He is pretty picky about this dish). Our server brought a bowl if the Jalapeño gravy to try and it was fabulous. We will go back again to try more of their menu items.
