Hands down the best bagels in the city. For a long time, bagels with lox were extremely hard to come by anywhere in the city and not very good. Small Mart was a saving grace from that! This place rocks. The staff are friendly and nice. They get busy sometimes so sometimes a wait but 1000% always worth it.

Sarah? Sara? However you spell it, was very accommodating, friendly, personable and gave me a great suggestion of what to eat being it my first time to the area and to their establishment.
I’ve not been too much akin to doing the whole touristy thing of Po’Boys here in Louisiana or New Orleans for that matter, let alone a Banh Mi, especially for the prices of a sandwich that has Poor in it’s name, same can be said about Cubanos, but I digress.
But the Pakora vegetarian Po’Boy they make here is on another level. Absolutely fantastic!
And yeah, the atmosphere is quaint, chill af and homey. 10/10 would highly recommend.

One my fav places in New Orleans, closest thing I've found to a NY bagel. And they have a cool coffee spot alongside it, with equally excellent service, people watching, and quality coffee. One of the best coffee shops in the Bywater.

They were out of rice at the end of the day so they substituted more pickled vegetables and another ingredient. The food was exquisitely spiced! I happily ate the leftovers cold the next day and again went straight to flavor heaven!

Best bagels in NOLA. We went like 3 times in one week. Samosas and bowls were delicious too. Strongly recommended.

Love Small Mart. It’s my regular lunch spot. Highly recommend. We’re so happy they’re here! Order everything you can’t go wrong: dry chaat bowl, tofu Po-Boy, salmon bagel…love it all. Thank you for being here :)

Great place for a bite. I got the vegan po'boy w/ marinated tofu and it was out of this world! Definitely recommended. Service was quick, the po'boy took 6 mins and I ate indoors (there are a few seats).
Also had a vegan dunker, which was a tasty thin cookie round.

Seriously the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time and a great coffee to top it off. I love the neighborhood and all of the people stopping by to grab a coffee or a quick bite. Such an amazing little neighborhood and a perfect shop to compliment the area.

I used to frequent their previous location on lower Decatur and the new space is much, well, spacier! Still strong with the good food and cool staff. NYC bagels are legit and they definitely haven’t ever skimped on the cream cheese. Get it y’all.

Smells amazing when you walk in and such quick and friendly service! Kind of a hole in the wall spot with minimal bar seating so more of a grab and go spot. Food was greaaaatt had the chaat bowl and the curry with a pakora added.
