Kebab Gyro

Warning: only go here with friends. It’s quiet enough to have a conversation! An unexpected treat given the location in a strip mall. But inside it’s an elegant restaurant with standard fare alongside gourmet Turkish cuisine. Service is attentive from waiters who know the menu. The salmon pasta dish was exquisite. Unlike newer Nashville restaurants you aren’t blasted with noise. Large groups can ask to be seated in an alcove.

The waiter is very personable. The one I had was more stand offish and didn't overcrowd me as a guest. He didn't push a million things for you to buy or try which made me comfortable. He suggested the Lamb Chops. He brings out bread and the salad followed by the Lamb Chop dish. It is very delicious and filling. The yogurt is surprisingly good with the Lamb Chops and the rice. Their Turkish Coffee is good. What would make it better is if they had Turkish delights to go with the coffee.

Came for lunch on Friday and enjoyed everything about it. My wife and I started with the hummus and then had the kofta and chicken kabobs. Everything was tasty and the portion sizes were great for lunch. The service was attentive in a proper way (ie - they aren't coming to your table every 5 minutes whether they need to or not). All in all, we really enjoyed it.

We recently dined at a Turkish restaurant that left us with mixed impressions. One highlight was the incredible rice, which I consider the best in Nashville. I thoroughly enjoyed the Adana kebabs, which were flavorful and delicious, although it was disappointing that they only came in one skewer. We also ordered the Billur kebab and a mixed platter. While the Billur kebab was tasty, the chicken could have been better in terms of flavor and tenderness. The mixed platter, unfortunately, lacked the desired flavors and didn't leave a lasting impression, except for the lamb chops, which were the standout meat option. However, one of the skewers on the platter had an unusual taste and texture, almost resembling liver. It was unclear what meat it was, but it didn't meet our expectations in terms of flavor and quality. Additionally, we found the prices to be higher compared to similar Turkish restaurants, and the portion sizes were smaller. Overall, while this Turkish restaurant had its highlights, such as the remarkable rice and tasty Adana kebabs, the inconsistent quality of the meats and the higher prices with smaller portions left us with mixed feelings. It may be worth exploring other Turkish dining options in the area for a more satisfying experience.

I wish Google Maps allowed for half stars because I think this restaurant deserves an overall 4.5 stars. The service was very efficient and friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the restaurant was clean, open, and inviting. I did rate the food at a four star simply because it wasn't as seasoned and flavorful as other Turkish restaurants I've eaten at before (e.g., the hummus starter was lacking in flavor), but everything was still very delicious. I also feel that the prices and portion sizes were reasonable, but would recommend getting a starter to ensure those with larger appetites are satisfied.

I visited Anatolia in the past for takeout on numerous occasions. I was always impressed with the server who would serve me a cup of flavored hot tea and a seat while I wait for my order. I returned and decided to dine in. Try the Turkish wine. The lamb chops are a must have. The portions on their menu options are generous and full of flavor.

Great restaurant to enjoy a good meal with family. Service is excellent even on busy days. We love the kunafe which has fried thin noodles and cheese with a sugar syrup. Spinach stuffed chicken was soft and tasty. Sampler was great too, especially the one with grape leaf. We tried the salmon too and loved it. The rice side dish was good too
