Food is fantastic most of the time. But I know family that have had hit and miss meals. Music can be a bit loud too at times depending on when you're seated. Service is mostly good, though they were short staffed last time and brought the wrong drink, likely because the server couldn't hear over the music. Steak was cooked exactly how I asked, which always makes me happy!

The waitress was really friendly and made suggestions about what was nice on the menu and with that we ordered more. The service was quick and efficient and very, very tasty. My sister is Celiac and struggles to eat out in places as it ends up making her ill. There was no issues here, her food was delicious and she had no issues with illness. Brilliant food and service we will be back soon.

Like the venue, drove past multiple times and wanted to eat there. So checked the website and checked the menu and booked online. When seeing the menu I didn't see Mixed Grill as it was a Sunday. I asked one of the waitresses and they said it was a Sunday menu but they said they could do a mixed grill for me. So was very happy they accommodated my request. I think they need to make it clearer on the website or maybe I just missed it. After meal and sweet we decided to sit outside and enjoy the view.

They had been very busy and therefore not everything was available on the menu, however the staff made sure that this was not an issue and were more than accommodating when we asked if we could have rib-eye instead of sirloin on the surf and turf has they had no sirloins left, no this was not a problem.
Sophie who was serving us was lovely and very helpful.
The meal was lovely, we would certainly return.

Fantastic pub restaurant, and a family favourite.
Beer and ale selection was amazing. Food was outstanding and the portion sizes were great for the prices offered. The location is what makes the riverside so good tho, with scenic views of the fields over the other side of the riverbank and the veranda on the river itself.
Service was good but the wait times were a little extensive, however staff were apologetic and were ensuring that we were satisfied throughout the meal.
Would definitely go again and was fantastic to retrace the steps of my grandparents of whom this pub was a favourite :)

The meals at the Riverside are a very high quality. The staff were very helpful and worked hard.

The welcome was warm and friendly. We were seated promptly. The restaurant interior and exterior were clean,tidy and well presented. We were given our menus and had plenty of time to consider our choices. The restaurant was very busy but all staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Our meals were good quality,tasty,hot and well presented. We were offered sauces and extra condiments. The weather was really warm but the temp in the restaurant was pleasant as the air conditioning was on. The staff were smiling and friendly despite being very busy. Everything worked well and they operated like a well oiled machine. When I wanted to amend one of my courses to omit some chilies there was no problem and we were asked at the start of the order if any of our party had any allergies or food intolerance. We were very happy with our visit and will definitely back

Lovely setting with great views. Wheelchair access from car park into the front entrance. Very friendly staff. I had a mixed grill, delicious. Highly recommend this pub 🍻

Don't be fooled by the exterior this is no normal pub , giant glass windows overlooking the canal and fields really makes this place.
The food is better than average for a pub like this especially the deserts.
Vegetarian and vegan options a plenty as well as the carnivores means it's a good catch all for fussy eaters.
Parking I'd good with an extra overflow carpark I'd needed.
In summer this place will be amazing with the outdoor tables and lights.
Drop by , you won't be disappointed.
