Rusty Taco

My family and I went to Rusty Taco in Murphy today and I was so impressed!!! Everything was delicious! We got two orders of queso because, you know, queso and didn’t want to fight my two boys over it! It was a little spicy for my 4 year old but I thought it was great. Not my absolute favorite but a really solid score. The tacos were amazing! I got the fried chicken taco with queso and the brisket taco - both were very flavorful and delicious. The the kid’s beef quesadillas were awesome! The prices at rusty taco are very reasonable too — only $30 for a family of 4 (plus drinks and 2 quesos too)! Atmosphere was great and they even had a nice looking patio! We will definitely be back!

I caught this location at a bad time as they were moving water out of the dining room area of the resteraunt. Not sure what happened but prior there was four days of straight rain so I assume that had something to do with it and I got there shortly after opening. I won't deduct a star because of that and I was hungry. Our party of five ordered a range of tacos and chips and we were overall satisfied but all of us agreed the taco sizes either could be larger or more meat can be put in them considering they were all over the $2 mark. The chips we had were hit and miss, the ones that missed could have sat in the fryer a little longer as they had no crunch at all luckily we were able to get a free refill. The service we received was friendly and overall the staff was handling their flood situation pretty good. I know this location is relatively new so in will give it another shot but someone may need to check out the portion sized of these tacos and give them a little upgrade.

Food was fresh and tasty! Kids ordered breakfast tacos and the portion was very generous. We all enjoyed the queso, salsa and guacamole. Only complaint I had was my shrimp tacos seems to be skimpy on the shrimp and overloaded with the cabbage. I’m sure they are working out the kinks and I will definitely back :) love that they had watermelon iced tea!

I love this place. Everthing there is wonderful. The tacos are fantastic... Especially the Surf N Turf (for a limited time only). They have a happy hour (three hours) and the drinks are fairly strong. I have not found a taco place that is as all around great (except Rusty's in Plano near Frisco). Plus the employees are awesome! They really are very friendly and efficient. I go by Chuck when Im there and they always remember my name. Oh, and the manager is pretty cool and on his game.
