Newk's Eatery

I love Newks. That said, this particular visit was not my favorite. For starters, the staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating. There were a few exceptions, but overall they seemed to be bothered by our presence. The food was delicious, as normal. We got the chicken Caesar salad. They went a bit heavy on the dressing this time, but overall, still well done. The biggest issue was the bathroom sink not working and the giant spill that just kind of sat in the middle of the floor. It was hard to navigate the sting area because the floor was soaked in standing water. Overall, not the best experience but we still love Newks.

There are many deli sandwich shops to choose from, yet Newk's manages to stand out. I've always had quick and friendly service here. The inside is clean and spacious. And the food is fresh and delicious. It's a nice little spot to get a quick bite to eat. Sandwiches and salads are their main thing, but they also have really good pizza at a very reasonable price.

Normally I'd give Newks a 5, but they're losing a star because I had a terrible experience last week and they didn't respond to my complaint. I won't go into details since that was the first negative experience I've had out of likely 40-50 visits. What does disappoint me is that no one even emailed me back when I let them know what happened. I'll be back, but I'll be wary.
