Fresh Catch

Love this place. I lost my Mom a few years ago. Apart from missing all her love and care, I miss her food a lot too. She was a wonderful cook with expertise in traditional Mangalorean/ Goad cooking. For years I would miss her dishes and no matter how much I try, I can never get the same taste. Then one day we tried Fresh Catch and the sungta ani bhendi chi kudi so closely resembles my Mom's cooking. Fresh Catch you have cured one pain of mine. Thanks Fresh Catch for keeping the food authentic. Please don't ever change.

Located on the 2nd floor at Hill Road, Bandra this place now has officially taken over as the best sea food restaurant we’ve visited in Mumbai :) Coming straight to the order and we ate a lot so here is goes - Fresh catch crab soup (5/5) we got a recommendation to be made spicy and it blew our minds, amazing appetiser Bombil Fry (4/5) typical starter, was fresh and crispy Prawns Rechado (5/5) the winner dish of the day, the size of the prawns and the red masala was so satisfying for the taste buds Pomfret Harabhara (4/5) green marinated pomfret, tawa fried! Quite juicy and tasty overall Kane Rawa Fry (4.5/5) we’ve recently discovered the love for this fish, it’s a sea fish, thin and crispy Rawas Fry (4/5) perfectly tawa fried From here on we were way too full but our friends joined in and the session carried on, as we called for Mori Suka, Surmai Fry, Neer Dosa and another round of the crab soup. All the 2nd round dishes were also good but I couldn’t have anything more due to capacity! The service is exceptional, one of those places where you can pay additionally for service charge. The waiters/captains are all wonderful and always up for a conversation and help you with your orders. The ambiance is soothing along with costal music that plays along, they’ve recently opened the bar as well to go with the amazing food. ProTip: reservation is a must as the place is small with not many tables and will get crowded during weekends.

Fresh catch is like its name -truly fresh fish items which are my favourites.Very authentic preparations from karwar( North canara & goan region) we had sol kadi , bombil and pomfret rawa fry, crab meat butter garlic and surmai ambot teek meaning sour & spicy- all hit the perfection in taste.Well managed and with new added attraction of well stocked bar and favourite of many celebrities, strongly recommended if you have not visited and love saraswat and goan fish preparations.

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend after hearing great things about the food. I must say, I'm thrilled that we decided to dine here. The flavours in the dishes were exceptional, and we sampled a few items such as Bombil Rava Fry, Prawns Rechado and Crab Xec Xec with Neer Dosa. Each dish was fantastic, but the prawns and crabs were the true stars of the show for me. The masala and gravy were incredibly flavourful, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Additionally, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was quite pleasant, which added to the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious seafood.

Cool, attractive restaurant with good service. Bombil Tawa Fry was absolutely delicious - fresh, crispy coating and delicate creamy flesh. I also ate Bandga Trifulla, which was good too, as were the neer dosas. Really liked the Sol Kadhi drink as well. Not cheap but happy to pay for fresh fish cooked and served like that.
