This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine when I wanted to try and broaden my Indian food. She suggested I try the Biryani Special Chicken and I couldn't have been more blown away. So much flavor and just the right amount of spicy. You bet I'll be returning.

I regularly eat Vijayawada paneer biriyani from here .
It's tasty and quantity is good
Only problem is that the spice level varies on different occasions and it's not consistent, sometimes ends up too spicy!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE
I ordered the Vijayawada Paneer Biryani - low spice (picture below) I can't eat this! Compare my picture with what they have and it looks like two different dish, plus there was exactly 3 pieces of Paneer. It is so spicy and salty that I'm going to throw this away. I also ordered the baby corn manchurian and it was alright but nothing special.

The biryani was really spicy and we were not given any heads up about it, the most disappointing fact was there were no caramelized onions on the top, which is a must at least from my experience. They put raw onions and the quality was not up to the mark

Hardly any chicken in their biryani.. and the chicken is not even soft.. pretty bad

My sister is a huge fan of this place. She loves indian authentic food. Her office colleagues too have become addicted to the butter chicken, saag paneer, the dum biryaniz from this place. I personally feel they have a great menu soc the top selling items , tandoor menu and the flavours are really very unique .
Veg platter, non veg platter with salad its quiet filling. I feel rather than having a huge menu with chinese n other items and not delivering quality and taste, its better to have a menu one can cater with authentic taste, quality and consistency. Their mutton biryani is way more better than any other restaurants i have tried till date. The fish tikka and chicken seekh kebab are worth ordering for parties and family occasions .
They had catered once for my sisters party and people loved the food. The pricing is very much cheaper compared to restaurants in mountain view area. This place is underrated i feel for the quality and tasteful food they cater. I would highly recommend this place and encourage people to write reviews which would help people rely on before they order.

Liked the food even though food was on the spicier side. Gobi manchurian was fresh and very tasty. But baby corn manchurian was not up to the mark. Chicken dum biryani was pretty good. I was told vijayawada biryani is extremely spicy, I didn't dare to try :). Worth while visiting the place if you are around Castro street.

I'm surprised by the way this restaurant has improved, compared to my previous visit, many months ago. I have noticed that they were getting many takeout orders.
I have ordered Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani. The service was on time. It took around 15 min for my order to arrive.
Biryani was very delicious. Perfectly cooked chicken, along with boiled egg, in a flavorful basmati rice. Gravy and raitha were also delicious..!!
Everything was so close to "authentic hyderabadi biryani" that I decided to write an updated review on yelp.
Only thing is, if they can improve the service in handling customers a little bit, this will be an awesome restaurant.
P.S. This review is only for the Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani. I will definitely try other biryanis from this restaurant soon..!

I decided to try this restaurant after seeing the name biryaniz and their tag line "asli biryani" (meaning original biryani). Went here for dinner on Tue.
Another crappy Indian restaurant just like many others in the south bay.
1) Unorganized. No one to seat you/ explain you/ to give the menu. You might feel other customers requesting you to move ( or touching) while eating because the tables are so close to each other that they can't leave until you move your chair forward.
2) Very slow. By the time you get your biryani your hunger will be dead. It took more than 30 min to get my order.
3) Bad service. Only 1 waiter trying to do everything. You have to keep asking the waiter again and again. Not just myself, there were other customers too requesting the waiter repeatedly that they didn't get their order served completely.
4) Flavorless Biryani. I still tried to be patient hoping the chicken dum biryani will be good but it is just bland biryani with too much rice and 2 chicken pieces and 1 egg.
mirchi ka saalan (gravy that comes with biryani) is all watery.
raita was ok.
P.S. This is Nakli biryani( meaning fake biryani). No way nearer to asli biryani as they claim. Another crappy biryani joint. Attached photos supporting my review.
