Peking Restaurant

The only reason I am giving this review a "1" is because that's the lowest the scale goes. If I could rate it "-5", I would. It has been about a year since I have eaten at Peking. Back then it was hit and miss on taste and service. I always stayed away from the buffet because every time I went in it seemed the food had been under a heat-lamp all day. So I would always order what I wanted so it was fresh. Tonight I was in the mood and thought I would order Peking. After calling 4 times to get them to answer (which should have been tip #1 ) I was finally able to get my order placed. I Go to pick it up and there is a party of two dining in, ONLY 2, that should have been tip #2. As I was leaving, about 45 minutes before closing they were locking their doors. So I get home, and start to eat and it's AWFUL!!! The duck sauce was so frothy, that's right... FROTHY. Duck sauce should not be frothy. The garlic frittered chicken didn't look like chicken, didn't taste of garlic but did taste sour!! I couldn't spit it out quick enough. The chicken fried rice was tasteless, and had oddly large squares of brown meat substance. I know chicken fried rice has square chicken, but the size of this was very odd and the texture was bizarre. The egg rolls I order were by far the best thing in the bag and yet sub par at best for egg rolls. After I threw this food in the trash with my dog looking at me like I had lost my mind, I made us both fried bologna sandwiches. I don't think he would have eaten this food either to be honest with you. I tried to call them numerous times 30 mins before closing and you guessed it, no answer. I will never be back to this place again. Dine at Peking at your own risk.....

"I give the restaurant a four-star rating for the food ONLY, NOT the staff. The older female waitress is so rude. However, they have some of the best tasting food around." The comment I left above does not apply to my experience I had this past week. The quality of everything, especially the food, has gone way down. It's sad to see a place you have liked for so long take a turn for the worse. I will not ever go there again!

What ashame, I believe restaurant was turned over to either new owners or new management, the food is AWFUL, even the red sweet and sour sauce is disgusting. Anything fried is just soaked in the most fowl tasting oil. Egg drop soup is nasty, egg rolls are at least half the size they use to be and the filling, again just nasty! I have given this restaurant several chances thinking it was just a bad night, but each time the food has just gotten worse. Will not be returning, waste of money!

If I could give the place a negative 5 stars I would the staff is awful the soda there is out of a bottle that taste like someone shook it after they opened it. The food was gross and my son who will eat just about anything was like this is awful can we just leave. So just to be nice I gave them $10 and said this will cover the nasty food and drinks and your luck to get that. Oh and the only thing they hurry to do is take your money lol. If you eat there and like it you must be out of your mind. Also this was my second time to try it and I have the same opinion for both times.

I found that most of the food was either severely overcooked or had been setting out for a while. Most of it was very bland in flavor. Sadly the over cooked corn nuggets were the best part of my meal. I recommend the lemon pepper chicken was very dry and salty. The sweet and sour shrimp was decent but very bland. The bourbon chicken was just chicken chunks in what appeared to be watered down soy sauce. Overall, im very disappointed in my visit. Definitely will not be making a return visot.
