Solmar

Solmar is a delicious little place for Portuguese food in Old Montreal. We had dinner there last night. It was a nice change from all the Quebecois food we'd been eating during the past week on our vacation. We ordered oysters, mussels, garlic shrimp and the grilled calamari from the tapas menu. We ended our meal with chcolate profiteroles and the almond roll. It was a very cozy spot to spend the evening. I would highly recommend this place for a date night or special occasion. The servers were so helpful and checked on us many times to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our dinner service. Thank you Solmar for a memorable meal.

Manuel is the perfect server. Old world charm as he knows the menu and wines for the perfect evening. Truest one of the best evenings ever. We ended canceling at another restaurant so that we could eat here again on our last night in Montreal. Manuel and all the staff out did themselves once again.

Beautiful location and the best service I've ever had out. The waiter was the sweetest and was really friendly. The outdoor seating area was so well done (I went in the summer). The food was super tasty and I really enjoyed their Mussels!! My sister and I went here on a whim and fell in love with the restaurant. The Sangria pitchers are incredible too!

We went to dinner at this restaurant. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, she was really nice, she gave us recommendation for the dinner we had a bless time with our family, server Manuel was great. Valoroso wine cabernet very good. We try Trio de gibier and carre d agneau. truly recommended, it is expensive but nice as well. Allergy friendly. No peanut or tree nut. Only, almond in one dessert but they put it separated from the food.
