Monroe Diner

Love this place. I go here at least once a week with friends at night or family in the mornings. The food is great and the wait staff is very friendly and knows their regulars' name and what they usually order by heart. I recommend the potato pancakes. The establishment is nice, up to date, welcoming and always exceptionally clean and well kept.

Excellent waiter (Mike) is one reason I gave a 2 rating instead of 0. The food was not good. We have visited this diner many times and the food was always good. I ordered a fish sandwich that not only looked nasty but tasted terrible. I could not eat it. Mike noticed right away and offered to get me something else so I asked for a grilled cheese. It was adequate at best. Not your usual diner grilled cheese. Cole slaw was also terrible and could not eat it. Very disappointed with this visit.

Nice, semi-sheltered outdoor dining option (large tent with open sides). We had brunch outside and it started raining a little but we were thankfully covered so we still got to enjoy. I had a Belgian Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream but my husband had a Greek Omlette and others had pancakes and French toast. Large portions, good food. Nothing gourmet but everyone was happy with their food. Service was good and friendly despite them being pretty busy. I would say they serve above average diner quality food.

Went here for early dinner on Saturday, friendly welcome and nice diner, had booth overlooking the road, enough to see. Waitress was friendly. Started with classic creamy chicken lemon soup, very good. Me and my son had burgers with fries, they were great, maybe a bit overcooked but good burger and bun. No salt/pepper/sauces you can do that yourself, I like that because it is very personal. Portions are huge and good food, we liked the coleslaw a lot because it is a bit picklish, exactly how we want it. Will definitely come back and nice place to have in Monroe, convenient location and pricing is like other diners. They make these classic milkshakes here. We were stuffed but next time will try that for sure ;)

The food was okay. However our waitress was terrible. She was not wearing a mask. She was slow to approach our table. We were her only table and she was too busy stuffing her face with food and scrolling her phone to check on our food. The bell had been rung 5 times and she continued to sit and prioritize herself. The order was also wrong and cold and we will not be coming back.
