Kiku

Took the family here for dinner. We had the Hibachi Chicken, Ramen, and Hibachi Salmon (not pictured).The wait was rather lengthy. It took a while before anyone came to get our drink order, and then a considerable while longer before our orders were taken. There was only one waitress in the place, so the wait was completely understandable and the food was definitely worth the wait, just don't show up with your stomach grumbling because it's going to be a few before the food comes out lol. The Hibachi Chicken was great, no complaints about the other dishes either. Family of 5, went on a Sunday night, total bill was around $80-85.

I ordered the Japanica sushi special for $45.50. I didn't get 18 pieces of sushi like i wanted or the menu says it has but instead they gave me 18 pieces of sashimi. If I wanted sashimi I would have asked for it. I also ordered the Tako squid salad and that was good. It was a disappointment driving 45 minutes home to see 18 pieces sashimi instead of the 18 peices sushi the menu described.

I'm always impressed by this place. Love the atmosphere, and even takeout is good quality. The menu is large and they have *very good* vegetarian sushi options (the sweet potato tempura roll is absolutely divine). I feel bad for the staff - they seem overworked and short-staffed - but despite that, they do their best to accommodate their customers and they are always kind. Perhaps expect longer wait times if it's busy (and don't be rude to the waitstaff, because none of it is their fault).
