Monroe Village Store

Everything I've gotten here has been delicious! All of the baked items are perfectly made, not too sugary, really fresh and flavorful. The coconut macaroons are perfect! Tender and moist, the exact right amount of chocolate, exactly the way I love them. The pumpkin cake is wonderful. Prices on everything are totally reasonable. My breakfast sandwich today was one of the best I've had- egg, cheddar, sausage and fresh sauteed vegetables. It was so tasty and felt way healthier than most breakfast sammies. Has a great little grocery section for necessities, which is very handy, and an entire freezer with pints of ice cream. The people there have all been friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's absolutely awesome to have this store so close to my work.

Was on the way to Bangor from the midcoast region and stumbled upon this awesome general store. It was lunchtime and in my travels I enjoy finding small diners and eateries that serve up good quality. Wow! Ordered the 'steak bomb' sandwich... And she made it to perfection! It tasted so good I wanted to order another... But was so full it would've been foolish. Will be back!

I recently moved to the area and finally had a chance to visit the Monroe Country Store. There is a large, gravel parking area immediately next to the store. The store has a lovely wooden porch and a beautiful, homey, wooden interior. There's a small seating area to the left when you first enter and a local Maine craft shelf off to the right. In the back, you'll find your typical convenience store items. The middle of the store has the counter area and kitchen. I had no issue ordering my pizza over the phone and the staff was very friendly when I entered to pick it up. The pizza had a soft, fluffy base with a crisp bottom. The crust was also of the soft and bready variety. The cheese was plentiful and delicious. The pie also had a tasty sauce. I'm definitely a fan of the pizza and will likely return soon to try some of the other foods!

This is such a cute little country store. I love the selection of food, wine, and gluten free options that are included. Their sandwiches are to die for and i deeply appreciate their rotating monthly specials. If you're looking for a cup of excellent coffee, a friendly face, or a meal this is the place to go. The store itself has a lovely atmosphere with plants, and adorable tables. I appreciate the inclusivity and thoughtfulness that the staff show with such a wide variety of options for varying dietary restrictions.
