La Parilla

I took my family there for breakfast. My family and I had a good time. They had just opened doors for that day and it was perfect. Not a lot of people inside the restaurant due to the time but it was quiet and their service was great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I truly recommend this place.

Food is excellent as always! My wife and I have been to many locations. Tonight she had the keto bowl and I had the taco truck burrito. Both of us had Carne Asada in our meals. We’ve never had a bad experience here. Some experiences have been better than others though. I wish the size of their drinks were larger. However the bar drinks are really good. You just have to double up. The portions are generous. We always love their complementary chips and salsa with her bean dip.

The service is great. They are very friendly and very on top of things. Even though they were busy they were always checking to make sure everything was ok. The food was prepared in a decent amount of time. The food did not impress my a whole lot. My girlfriend found a bone in her chicken enchilada. So after that we were done eating. We told the waiter and I would have thought that they would have taken at least something off our tab or something but nope nothing, and she didn't even eat close to half of it.

Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Modesto. I love their menu since there are many vegetarian options. Ask for the molcajete sauce on the side, you will thank me. Put it on anything or just take it like a shot. Your tongue will thank me. Great margaritas 🍹 😋 and if you're trying to be a bit healthy ask for a skinny margarita. The taste is almost like a regular but less sweet which is fine with me.

This place was very clean both the eating area and bathrooms. The staff was very attentive to the customers. But, the food was a great disappointment. We had the chili relleno disappointment. It was as thin as a piece of bologna and there was so much oil (lard not vegetable oil) on it. It also had a strong vinegar taste and the fried rice had no flavor. It was just white rice and a light coating of tomato sauce with a few tiny pieces of tomato skins. I go to a restaurant for all the experiences and that includes the food. We will not dine there again. But, if you chose see for your self.
