Orenodon

What is this? I don't know how to start, but it's supposed to be something called a roast beef Don. What it is, is a random assortment of things they found in the kitchen. The rice was at least 2 days old, dried to the point where I almost thought it was from the clay pot store next door. Sauce? Was there sauce? Is there supposed to be? Your guess is as good as mine, even though I came here. There's this little pot of chili oil, which I'm guessing can be argued is sauce, but quite disappointing. Would not recommend.

It's a nice place for a rice bowl. The juicy steak was good and the una-don was nice. The side vegetables were great as well. You can tell they put a lot of attention in the food they prepared. It was pretty quiet during the weekend. Overall it's a good place to try but I don't think I would come back just for this unless I'm on the area.

Got the set meal with unagi and gyudon for lunch. It was just the right amount of food at a very reasonable price. Loved the variety and presentation. To the chef, I would suggest tweaking the gyudon recipe just slightly as it wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting gyudon to be. But maybe that’s just my personal taste.

Was suprised by the quality of the food here. I tried the Gyu Don, which is a beef dish. Although not very complex, I did enjoy the taste. They even added a but of pumpkin, which I felt was very festive for the fall season. Their miso soup was very plain, but it came with the dish for free, so I guess I can't complain too much about it. Not sure if they make their chili oil or buy it, but it is a lot smoother than what I'm used to (lao gao ma) and liked that. Their menu was simple, and they do have a seasonal item. Their customer service was nice and pleasant. My only complaint is the single use packaging they use. It makes the meal feel more cheap and is very wasteful.i

Good food for the price. Ok food on an absolute scale. Would come back to try the teriyaki chicken though or for a relatively cheap meal. Think of the food like Japanese bimbimbap. Dons are traditionally meat+rice with not much veggies. These guys have bean sprouts and carrot which I think is fine. The gyudon seemed normal quality wise. I'd get the chicken or for seafood ppl, the poke.

Food was pretty good but why the 1 star you ask? cause I was given UNDERCOOKED CHICKEN. I honestly enjoyed the katsudon I got today. It was really good! A bit bland when i tried it by itself but nothing a little chili oil would fix. Makes such a difference. They're having a promotion going on where they give you yakitori chicken from 8/8-8/10. But please don't have promotions like this if you're not going to cook the chicken all the way through... so disappointed by this that I don't think I'm going back anytime soon and definitely not getting anything chicken related from this place.
