Base Camp

This was our first time at Base Camp in Middlesbrough, we came to see some rock/metal bands play here , it's a quirky place but very well thought out with one room leading onto another, I think it must have been some kind of factory on one point in it's life but has been transformed into a gig venue , as well as staged area there are seating areas & a bar which also serves food , the staff are very friendly & our overall experience was very good , because of where it is there is only parking on the surrounding streets near by , it it located not far from the A66 just off from the A19 so easy to get to by car , use a satnav & it will take you straight there , it took us just over an hours drive from Newcastle upon Tyne so it's great if you live in Middlesbrough as it's not far from the city centre .

Went tonight for a smashing meal, the Roaming Chef was making Greek food, It was gorgeous there were Giro's and loads of snacks and dips, all vegie or vegan and all delicious, we tried everything, will definately go back for Mexican food in two weeks. Lovely setup and atmosphere, pleasant helpful staff, couldnt stay for bands but will next time. Thanks for a lovely evening.
