Smashburger

There are many meat options. Turkey burgers are my favorite. They normally get the specifics spot on; no condiments, extra ingredients, replacement cheese. Sometimes, they don't add cheese when I just don't want the cheddar spread, but I do want the cheese slice. I order on my app and it works well. Fast service and tasty burgers.

Newish location for this steadily expanding chain. Staff was professional and prompt. Walking in the overall space is clean and tidy. My order came out warm & prepped as described. Once at home I noted again that my turkey smashburger had 2-3 bites that were noticeably salty. I think I will have to include a request for light or no salt next time I order the turkey burger.

Update: We tried Smashburger again today. Service was amazing and quick. We are basically burger people and have been around the nation for a few years. The beef at Smashburger had a great taste like we used to get in the 1950's. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the buns are a great fit for the large patties. I am a southwest style.. no sauce, no mayonnaise, no ketchup, and add mustard. My wife likes the opposite. Both of us really enjoyed a great tasty burger. We will be back. I see a comment about price. This isn't a In-n-Out where two people can eat for $15. The patties on the burger were fresh off the grill hot. Order then wait for the goods, it is worth it. June 8, 2023: Don't know about the food but there does not seem to be a cook on premises. A couple of weeks ago we went at 5pm and were told it would be over 30 minute wait because there were 9 orders ahead of us. Today, we went at 11:20am and were told it would be 15 or 20 minutes even though we were the only customers. Menu looks inviting so may try them again in the future.

This was my first time eating at Smashburger. I loved it, but I have some comments. Based on the name, I expected the burger meat to be smashed very flat, like at Freddie's or Steak n Shake, but they aren't. I ordered my specialty burger as a double, and the patties were about a 1/2 inch thick, making the burger thicker than I like. The meat flavor is very good. I had the regular fries, but you can get fries with different seasonings. These are real potato shoestring fries, not what I call fake fries, and they were great. We also had the non-seasoned haystack onion strings. They were a bit oily but tasted great with the ranch dressing they came with. The tab was just under $30 for two, which is a bit steep for a burger joint, but not surprising. After tasting the food, I didn't mind so much! The restaurant was clean, and the service was fast and friendly. Based on this restaurant, I'll be keeping my eyes open for another Smashburger.
