Flying Fish

Quite possibly the best meal during my visit to Memphis. The staff was polite and friendly and the food was phenomenal. I had the grilled catfish in styles 2 and 3. The food is a little pricier than I'm used to but the portion sizes are large. If you're around the area I would strongly suggest you stop by!

An accidental delight! We stumbled in here because most other places were closed and this looked busy with locals. We were not wrong, catfish and shrimp was delicious and perfectly fried with seasoning. Never had anything quite like it. The plates looked incredible too. In good quantity and decent prices. Also had a frozen margarita during happy hour for $9 which is decent for the size. Great atmosphere, would definately be a regular if I was a local too!

I stepped inside this fun and funky restaurant with the intention of ordering the oysters. However, when I saw that they served whole fried red snapper, my interest sparked. Granted, I have never had red snapper before (and I have tried an assortment of unique eats) I couldn't pass up the opportunity! I wasn't disappointed either! Crispy cornmeal batter and a side of lemons and chimichurri sauce, I was pleased with my new found discovery! Had I known the best "meat" was in the neck and head, I would have consumed that first, but I managed to eat the entire thing! That's how delicious this dish is!! The lightly grilled sliced squash and zucchini was a refreshing taste in between bites. My husband ordered the catfish, another dish I love, but I couldn't part with my red snapper, saving room to make sure I finished it all! The service was great, the atmosphere was family friendly, laid back and welcoming. While you're waiting for your food, I would recommend reading the multiple fishing stories posted on the walls. It's a fun place, a funky place and they serve some outstanding food!
