Mapleton is our local favourite. Excellent service and food, great prices too. I can't go past their bircher - it's like heaven in a bowl.

This charming cafe deserves to be busy. My mushroom and poached egg was terrific as was the coffee and crew. Would have given 5 stars, but my toast was super soggy. How does that happen? Recommend.

Upon entering this cafe you are immediately drawn to how small it is inside. However, I tend to let the food do the talking. I decided to order their granola and yogurt which was amazing. Every element on that dish had been carefully thought out and the presentation of the dish looked simply delightful. It's a shame that this cafe is so small as this dish would definitely be a standout and draw in bigger crowds.<br/>Overall dish was beautiful but interior is lacking size compares to other places.

Another nice cafe in Elsternwick with a nice modern decoration. We had salmond and bagel dish. The salmon was delicious but the egg in the bagel was a bit over cooked. The coffee was great!

Nice place, fresh and clean decor and comfy seats. Very friendly service and food was out quick too. The sourdough was tasty and two large slices. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon had a nice flavour. The only disappointment was the rostis which were greasy, but they have a refund for these which was very nice of them. The prana chai was tasty and served with almond milk and honey! Yum.

Good breakfasts and good coffees. Always great when you have a place that remembers your coffee order too. Coffee is from padre coffee so it's a good drop.

Best coffee this side of town by far! They use the best padre beans, great conversation too! Become a regular go to for me! Also have some good looking nibbles on offer (never tried though).

Great cafe that Glenhuntly Rd, Elsternwick has been crying out for. The breakfast here is fairly basic but uses great fresh ingredients that taste excellent. Coffee is probably the best in the area. Well spaced seating area also. Good food, good service, uncomplicated.

Only discovered this place in Jan 18 and both my wife and I have fallen in love with this place. Not only the food is great, the staff is friendly and helpful.<br/><br/>Menu is not overly complicated and enough variety to keep it interesting.<br/><br/>Each dish is nicely decorated and delicious. <br/><br/>Mapleton Kitchen is now our new favourite brunch destination.<br/><br/><br/><br/>

I love this new Elsternwick cafe. The most important thing for me is that the coffee is really good.... every time. <br/>When I have eaten there the food has been delicious, and the staff are always friendly and efficient.

Must-try spot for breakfast all day. The food is excellent among all new cafes in Melbourne. The menu is different and diversed which we love. Totally deserves 5/5. Coffee is very good as well, will try their smoothie next time coming in, looks amazing!

Tried this new place over the weekend. It is a modern, clean and airy setup. Great service and even offered to replace my cold Latte trying to feed lunch to my son. Ordered the Ham Hock, I will recommend this dish to try. Decent amount shredded ham hock topped with pineapple salsa with hint of chilli. This adds freshness to the dish and topped with watercrest and perfectly oozing poached eggs. Pretty decent coffee too. Why not 5/5? Ordered Scrambled eggs with brioche for my son, brioche is slightly dry. I heard that iced latte is a signature drink, i will definitely be coming back to try it and other items on the menu next weekend.

The best and friendly cafe in town! Nice atmosphere, yummy food and friendly staffs! Love the bake egg so much! It tastes the same as Hardware Societe! My daughter liked the mushroom so much! The goat cheese is delicious! My son liked the special order! Will definitely visit again~!

The best brunch in Elsternwick! My husband had the paprika fried eggs which he said were delicious. My mum loved the yogurt and granola - especially the freeze dried lychees! I had the hotcakes which were incredible - the whipped cream cheese is lovely and the hotcakes have a lovely light orangey flavour. Can’t wait to come back again. Great coffee too! AND it’s dog friendly! Keep up the excellent work Mapleton Kitchen! 💯
